I'm not a Gaga fan. I don't like her music and image overall, but I will give her credit where it's due. Bad Romance was a great song. The video was actually amazing. I wasn't going to download the Fame Monster album or anything, but I liked it.
When I heard Telephone, I was like, "Okay. I like this." Beyonce's part is really cool (I'm not a Beyonce fan, but I like her more of her work more than Gaga's).
They pumped everything up. The video is going to be great. Just wait and see. You won't be disappointed.
Video premieres. 3 minutes in, I forgot what I was doing. THEN, the music starts. I wasn't impressed, but decided to stick it out. I figured that part with Beyonce singing was going to bring it all back for me. It didn't. The screwed that scene up. The rest of the video was choppy. Moments of me not knowing why I was still watching this, and the music randomly starting again.
It wasn't innovative. It was predictable. Gaga wearing cigarette glasses? Not surprising.
Gaga hard kissing a chick? Not shocking. Didn't she say she was bi???
Easy choreography that club kids can pick up? Yep. Expected that.
Color damaged hair? Knew it was coming.
You already know the girl is going to do something crazy. It doesn't shock me. Not impressed.
I have a few questions.
1.
I know it's conceptual, but what prison you know allows the inmates to have high end ear-buds? And a cell???
2.
How come Lady Gaga said "motherfucker" and it wasn't bleeped. But when Beyonce said it after Tyrese killed over, it was bleeped? Methinks Beyonce is all for playing dress up, but she's not going to risk her money. We have to remember Gaga doesn't care what we think. Beyonce's success is dependent on her vanilla image.
